TEDxRedMountain

Words cannot adequately describe the loss, devastation and heartache so many across our beautiful state are experiencing at this time.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to all of the people of Alabama (and elsewhere) who are dealing with loss and harm, whether personally or to family, friends, acquaintances, neighbors, coworkers, pets or property.

The people of Alabama are strong and resilient. We share bonds of community and spirit that enable us to rise above differences and prevail in times of tragedy.

In the aftermath of the storms of April 27, 2011, we have the opportunity to rebuild and reshape many areas of our great state in ways that will offer new hope and a brighter future for everyone.

Take time to grieve and, more importantly, take time to be inspired by the stories of hope and optimism that are rising up from the rubble and destruction

About TEDx

About TEDx (x = independently organized event) – In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group setting. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
